The scarce first edition of this work, attributed to the prominent Quaker educator Lindley Murray.Sarah Tuke Grubb started preaching in Quaker congregations at age twenty-two, and after marrying travelled extensively in Europe, as missionaries.Grubb and her husband started a girls' finishing school in Clonmel, Ireland.
