No date, but around 1892, when the short-lived publisher (a subsidiary or Lovell's United States Book Company) was organized. Corners bumped, top and bottom edges of boards and spine rubbed, ownership sticker and doodles on front endpapers, half-title torn at bottom near gutter, pp 505-6 have a 1 X 2 cm hole that is apparently a manufacturing defect, and a few corners are creased.
