First edition hard back publisher's original black cloth covers, gilt and green stamping, maps to end papers. 8vo 5½" x 8" 424 pp. SIGNED by the author to title page. The history of the pioneer Middle West and the fourth "Sac Prairie Saga". Fine in Very Good clean and bright dust wrapper with just a couple of short closed tears to top upper panel and light surface grazes to spine tips, colours fresh and without any fading or marks, not price clipped. Dust wrapper protected. Member of the P.B.F.A.

Black cover over boards with green and gold lettering and design on the front and on the spine. Nap inside covers front and back. No tears, nor any writing, page 66, has a dent corner. Very light soiling to the top and for edges, a small scuff mark on the back near the for edge lower portion. Light bump to the head and toe of the spine. Dust Jacket, no bent flaps, nor is it price clipped. Dust jacket has one large chip out of the back near the groove area also a smaller chip out front bottom edge. Also for edges show where and signing with chips at the tips. Dust jacket has done a fine job of protecting the book. Over the years. Dust jacket now in a clear protective cover. Text is bright and clean, binding is secure, a solid book. Size: 7¾" - 9¾" Tall
