Grey paper covered boards with green cloth spine, with dustjacket. 172pp. With 69 b&w photos by the author, a pioneer bird photographer who captured many close-up nesting scenes, and who lived in the Norfolk broads on a boat in the 1920s. Boards are slightly faded withdark sunned patch to spine . No inscriptions but with some foxing throughout as is usual with this title. The scarce dustjacket is tatty with losses to spine and top of rear panel with numerous nicks and tears the front is largely complete with loss to bottom edge -pictures available. Just about Very Good in a Fair dustjacket.

Pages and plates remain clear with minimal tanning and moderate foxing. Pen inscription to front endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy sunning to spine.

XV1/172pp with Preface, Introduction, 29 Chapters, 69 B/W Photos. In the Preface, the author states, "This book is just a record of my own personal observations of birds I have lived with for twenty years" This labour of love conducted on the Norfolk Broads. Odd scattered, and minimal, foxing throughout. Minor rubbing to corners but clean unmarked endpapers. Generally VG. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12".
