The book does use prawns, anchovies, and dairy products, but most of the recipes could probably be modified to get around this. For example instead of using anchovies, piped black bean sauce makes a good substitute, or if you don't mind the spice, laying a thin thread of chilli paste adds colour and certainly adds heat to the dish. As far substituting for prawns, tofu, or pumpkin flavoured gnocchi work well. The heel of the spine has a small bump, and there is an ink note on the first page "See P107 109 P37 ". No other damage.
