The original plates of this Visscher map, ca. 1689 were sold to Peter Schenk, Jr. and reissued under Schenk's imprint ca. 1715. This map of the northeast coast of North America extends from the Carolinas to Quebec and inland to to the Great Lakes, pushing the Jansson-Visscher maps further northward to the Hudson Bay.
