Green cloth, rebacked, the cloth on the spine is faded and rubbed, hinges good. Toning to the pages, light stain to the fore-edge margin of the plates. Neat Belfast library in gilt at the base of the spine and tidy pictorial bookplate on the endpaper, low visibility blindstamp (without ink) at the top corner of the title, small very faint number on the title and on the reverse. 1st edition.

Smart signature of James Tait, Edenside, Kelso 1830 on the endpaper (a Solicitor born in 1816). Pages; (6), V, ((1), 418, 590.
