New York: Atheneum, 1965. First edition. Very good. Black cloth, gilt spine. 190,[6] pp. Gift inscription on front free flyleaf to actress Coral Browne in the year of publication. Very good or better in a similar price-clipped dust jacket.  First edition. TINY ALICE is a three-act play by American playwright Edward Albee. The play was first performed in New York in 1964 and is known for its unconventional and ambiguous use of dialogue, symbolism, and commentary on sexuality and spirituality. The recipient of this volume Coral Browne, was an Australian actress who appeared in many plays and films and was married to the actor Vincent Price in 1974 until her death in 1991 in Los Angeles. At her memorial service the Australian character performer Barry Humphries, of Dame Edna fame, delivered a colorful rhyming tribute to the equally colorful Ms. Browne: "She left behind an emptiness / A gap, a void, a trough / The world is quite a good deal less / Since Coral Browne fucked off." .
