Small pencil note on back inside cover. Ephemera in book included an article clipped from A Family Paper, October 12, 1895 issue, titled "The Origins of Jess and Leeby in A Window in Thrums". It's a remarkable article by James MacArthur touching on the death of Mr. Barrie's eldest sister and mother in the span of 3 days in 1895. MacArthur quotes the writing of Dr. Robertson Nicoll, a close family friend of Barrie's, who wrote a tribute of condolence that illuminated the relationship of these family members to Barrie's works and characters in this story.
