UK 1st Edition / 1st Impression, November 1934. Illustrated by Lionel Edwards in colour and black/white + photographic plates. Near Very Good condition with foxing to page edges, otherwise clean and bright. No inscriptions. In scarce original dustwrapper which is not price-clipped (published price 10s 6d). The Lionel Edwards dustwrapper has edge chips/tears and tape repairs to reverse. The story of a famous and popular racehorse of the 1920s and 30s.

Very Good condition with solitary "Royal Society of Edinburgh 16 Apr 1946" inkstamp to cover. No inscriptions. A rare original post-war report issued by the U.S. Industrial Intelligence Committee into the work at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Medical Research Cyclotron facility at Heidelberg, assisted by the nuclear physicist, Walter Bothe. Includes Appendix German language article by W. Bothe "Kunstliche Radioaktivitat durch thermische Neutronen bei den seltenen Erden" offprint originally published in 1944.

Very Good, clean, tight condition, in Very Good original dustwrapper which has a small tear/bump to the lower left corner. Inscribed / dated by the author to the front endpaper (not dedicated) "Greetings from a fellow - ?? Janet Caird April 1978". With a loosely inserted gilt edged card also inscribed by Janet Caird "I hope you get as much pleasure from my verse as I got from your poems! Sincere regards, Janet H Caird".

50pp + colour frontispiece and 1pp publisher's advertisements to rear. Undated, c1917. Near Very Good condition with some fading to cloth spine and 'bleeding' of red from the cloth to upper corners, mainly of prelims, and early weakening of front hinge. No inscriptions.

Scarce original oversize Pictorial Souvenir for the 1929 Theatre Production of R.C Sherriff's World War 1 play "Journey's End". 1st Edition, March 1929. Black/White photographs of the cast and scenes from the play. Very Good condition, with just a little dusting to the covers. No inscriptions.
Journey's End opened as a semi-staged production running for two nights at the Apollo Theatre. Under a new producer, Maurice Browne, the play soon transferred to the Savoy Theatre where it ran for three weeks starting on 21 January 1929.

A first edition in Latin of 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', published to mark the centenary of the book's first publication. Clive Harcourt Carruthers (c.1891-1980), was a Canadian classicist and Rhodes scholar, who after his retirement amused himself with translating Lewis Carroll into Latin. A scarce book.

Original undated, but c 1920 Trade Catalogue of Smithy & Foundry Equipment issued by William Allday & Co, Pneumatic Engineers, Birmingham. Extensively illustrated, with index and fold-out advertising sheets to front. Good condition with usage marks to contents pages and wear / stains to wrappers and partial splitting to paper spine.The Alldays & Onions Pneumatic Engineering Co. of Birmingham, was a company founded in 1889 by the merger of the long established Onions (The company was founded by a family of craftsmen named Onions who manufactured bellows in their shed in the shadow of Dudley Castle). Undated, but c1905 from content. Uncredited cover illustration of a fairy and elves around a golden egg. Rear cover illustration of the exterior of the premises at 368 & 370 Oxford Street, London. The first 6 pages are devoted to luxury Easter eggs (including a Peter Rabbit one with the option to also purchase a copy of the book), the final 6 pages to larger + outdoor children's toys. To the inner covers are 'Business Terms' and a printed photographic illustration of the interior of Charles Morrell's New Premises with toys on display.
