The rear spine edge on Volume 2 has a 3" split which has weakened the binding. Some light marks on the endpapers; owner's inscription on the pastedown of volume 2. Dyed edges. Internally generally clean and free of markings. The monochrome pictures have been printed on a poorer quality card and on some the rear is foxed. Slightly dusty. There Is damage to the rear end papers in volume 2 and it looks as though it Is a scalpel cut although the paper remains intact. ; Beautifully produced in photogravure, colour, and black and white from photographs by Richard and Cherry Kearton; with descriptive text by Richard Kearton. Forty eight plates in each book, with protective tissue: all present and correct. ; Vol. 1 & 2; 220 x 290 .
