One of my favorite Salinger books, it tells the story of the Glass family, one of Salinger's famous inventions. that seemed so much like a real family, that I actually wrote a letter to the author .....and received a reply!

Ex-library book; with reproductions of drawings by William Blake.James Daugherty, one of my favorite illustrators of children's books, was born in Asheville, NC, snd wrote and illustrated famous biographies for children including one of my favorites, Daniel Boone. He REALLY loved Daniel Boone! I also really liked his drawing for the other Landmark biography (one of my favorites!), "The Magna Charta".

After attending art school in Washington, D.C., Mr. Daughtery began an art career by illustrating a book about Daniel Boone, and later wrote and illustrated his own book called called "Andy and the Lion" in 1938. This book is an ex-library book, with many tell tale signs, and a call number on the spine. However, the book has no writing on the interior, and the spine is sturdy.

This book is in good condition, displaying the wonderful full color lithographs done by the D'Aulaire's. No marks on the interior, with some slight wear on the bottom corners. Front cover displays the Caldecott Award.

Glossy hard-cover, this pop-up was adapted from the original "The Travels of Babar."

Designed as an introduction to fine art for children, this book is the UK edition of one released in America entitled, "Babar's Museum of Art." Includes a pull-out poster for the kids!

Marguerite De Angeli was a prolific children's author. She wrote stories that celebrated the diversity of America by featuring children living in various regions of the country. Yonie is a Dutch boy living in Pennsylvania. There is slight staining on the bottom right corner of the pages inside, and a small tear on the upper right hand corner of the cover. The colors of the interior pictures are still vibrant, even though this book was published in 1944.

Another in the series of The Hardy Boys, this time the boys help their father solve a case involving jewel thieves. It is one of their most harrowing stories yet. Some slight scribbling on the inside back cover.

In good condition; may be from a personal collection, no signs of ex-library markings. Published in the 1st Year it was printed, but is not marked First Edition. No stray marks inside. A rare book by a famous American author, it details an encounter Ms. Wiggins had with the author himself (Dickens) on a train as she is riding to Boston.

A wonderful tight spine with excellent illustrations, some in color, in very good condition.
