Description:
Düsseldorf.: Self-published. (Distributed by Jürgen Dahl, Krefeld)., 1959. Four A4 sheets of duplicated typewritten texts, printed single-side.. (29.5 x 20.8 cm).. On the 30th January 1959, at 8pm, at the opening reception of an exhibition of Jean Tinguely at the Galerie Schmela in Du_sseldorf, Daniel Spoerri, Nusch Bremer and Claus Bremer simultaneously read three poems, placed in front of them at eye level and rolled around a cylinder that rotated at its own speed as the reading progressed. The participants then had to make arbitrary choices about which words, phrases, or sentences to use. Presented here is a complete set of the four typewritten sheets, printed with the three texts to be performed:… Read More

Description:
Bern.: Verlag artists press., 1974. Postcard, printed in black ink on rice paper.. (10 x 14.5 cm).. The title of this artist’s postcard is a segment from de Vries’ “to be all ways to be’” works. The repetitions of the words in the title is something that de Vries first came up after a 1974 visit to Kathmandu, while listening to the chants of Nepalese monks. The postcard was printed by the Sangam-Press, Kathmandu in an edition of 200 copies, signed in pencil by Herman de Vries on the verso. [Ref. Anne Moeglin-Delcroix & Didier Mathieu - Herman de Vries. A complete set of the magazine founded in 1962 by Jörgen Nash and Asger Jorn, centred on Drakabygget, a farmhouse in Southern Sweden. Drakabygget was the organ of the Bauhaus Situationiste group. Following an internal strife which led to his exclusion (and that of several other members of the International Situationniste, including the entire SPUR group), Jorgen Nash instigated a movement that also came to be known as the Second Situationist International, based out of Skane in Sweden. The title of the magazine was directly borrowed from the name of Nash's farm, which by then had been turned into a kind of artists' commune. The magazine was subtitled Tidskrift for konst mot atombomber, påvar och politiker (""Magazine for art… Read More
