Folio, 270 x 220 mm., bound in publisher's decorative paper boards in original photographic dust jacket, preserved in a new folding box. Rome: Pressedienst des Generalkommandos della G.I.L., 1940. A scarce Italian photobook given over to glorifying fascist youth and their glorious leader, Mussolini. As is often the case with these books, the dramatic photography and layout display an imagination, which was totally lacking in the subject matter. Crack in the front board, otherwise a fine copy. OCLC lists only one copy, in the Bayerische Staatsbibiothek.

Published by the Italian Foreign Ministry, this alphabet was presumably issued as propaganda for children of diplomats and foreign service employees to demonstrate Italy's superiority. Slight rubbing to the edges of the boards, but overall a fine copy. A book that is of great rarity with OCLC listing only copies at Princeton and Northwestern.

Kyoto: Yamada Unsodo, 1906. An early twentieth century pattern book of textile designs with most pages having three designs. The designs are the work of Furuya Korin, a student of Kamisaka Sekka, who is best known for his combining the style of the Japanese Rimpa school with European Art Nouveau. In fine condition. OCLC lists only Harvard and the Metropolitan Museum.
