Inscribed and signed by the author on the front flyleaf: "To 'Old Jake;' mentor, friend, master: see if these years of study under thee hath taught me a blessed thing herein-- Clay Fisher 6-3-61." The author is perhaps better known by his real name, Will Henry. Textblock is clean; covers show moderate shelf and handling wear with bumped corners, fading, and soiling. Good Housekeeping Institute, 1929. Poor. Binding is in tatters and and some pages have become detached. All pages appear present but the interior shows heavy signs of use (in the form of liquid spills). Remarkably there are no ownership marks of any kind (other than the food). Interesting insight into another era with helpful advice on how to set the table for a Buffet Luncheon (just in case you've forgotten), the importance of school lunches (salmon salad is recommended for high school students), and it even includes a helpful list of kitchen equipment which, mysteriously, includes a monkey wrench.
