First edition, 380 pages, Complete with three plates counting the Frontispiece. Text is clear with no signatures or markings except for slight spotting on the plates (see photos). Contemporary 3/4 calf with marbled boards. The top board hinge is starting but still solid and holding. A good + collectible copy of this early science fiction journey into a fifth underground continent.

Original printed boards with printed label on re-backed spine. Damp stains on boards and several plates (see photos). Text and plates are clean without spotting. A short tear expertely closed on one plate. An inscription gifting to " W. Wilcox from Mr. Woods April 16 1832". Corner pin holes on 4 of the plates. A good copy of a classic work on fishing with very attractive plates of fishing scenes.

The text is clean and without any markings, and the publisher's blue cloth binding has no fading, and there is slight shelf wear. The dust jacket is clean, not priced clipped, with only minimal fading on the spine and a few light spots on the front wrap. Overall a very nice item with signatures of four expedition members.
