London: Pan. Paperback (14th Printing). This is the very rare Promotional Copy for Players Cigarettes which includes a (blue) printed letter written by Domino to James Bond which mentions Players cigarettes. The book is VG and the letter is fine. Quite a scarce piece of Bondiana.

London: Cape, 1963. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. # 170 of 250 copies each signed by Ian Fleming. Colour frontispiece of the author by Charles Amherst Villiers. Publisher's quarter vellum over black cloth with gilt titles to the spine, top edge gilt in the original clear plastic (glassine) wrapper. This is an absolutely fine copy in its original glassine wrapper which is also in fine condition. Exceedingly scarce in this condition. This was Fleming's only Signed Limited Edition and this is an outstanding copy in every respect. To find the original glassine in this condition is a real find. This copy was formerly owned by a long-deceased Swedish collector and a Fleming bibliographer in the 1970's. Impeccable provenance. Photographs/scans available upon request.

In folded condition, corner pinholes and tape adhesion remains and marks, upper outer corners torn with loss and small surface damage near the right margin. Overall a Good Only example. Reflected in the price. Potentially a candidate for restoration?

Printhouse, 1994. First Edition. Ian Fleming Letters to and from Antony Terry (New Zealand: Printhouse Nelson 1994). As New. First New Zealand Edition. Card Covers. No D/W as published. Here is a rare find. Written as a tribute to Ian Fleming and Antony Terry, it contains details of many letters written between Ian Fleming [the creator of James Bond) and his friend and associate in journalism Antony Terry. Terry it is said provided many hints and information to Fleming from his stationing in Europe during the post-war years. This significant book was put together, from actual letters, by Terry's stepdaughter [Judith Lenart ]. This is as new and extremely rare. The true first appearance of this Ian Fleming article later gathered together and published in hardcover format in late December 1963 under the title Thrilling Cities. The original artwork that appears with this Ian Fleming story was later used for the Cape first edition of Thrilling Cities. Rare. Magazine is in fine condition and very scarce thus. Some toning to the page block edges (due to the poor quality of paper used) and a lightly faded with a faint reading crease to the spine overall a near fine copy. A nice copy of one of the scarcest Fleming paperback first editions. This copy has the 2/- in the UK price to the front cover. 1962. (Chicago, Illinois: Sports Illustrated - part of Time Inc., March 19, 1962). Includes the true first (world-wide) appearance of the article that was eventually published 8 months later in the UK Sunday Times magazine under the title "James Bond’s Hardware”. This rather lengthy (for a magazine) article written by Fleming details his long association with gun expert Geoffrey Boothroyd (whom Fleming used as the model for armourer "Q" in the Bond books) and how the two of them decided on the various guns that James Bond should use (the Walther PPK was not, in fact, James Bond's preferred weapon of choice, despite what the movies would have you believe). It was never published in book form. Magazine is in near fine (or better) condition for its age with no wear to the spine. An important magazine article. Photographs/scans available upon request.

Contains a series of articles about the movie "You Only Live Twice" including: Your attention please - curtain call before the premiere of You Only Live Twice; Killing off Bond Again - this one begins with his murder; does he come back and avenge himself; Spectre's evil scheme - a storyboard sequence..it takes place in rarefied air before it takes in a volcano; Filled with girls from the Mysterious Orient - little else is mysterious about them; Office politics (malignant)...(benign)...bad guys and good; watch out for that gun, that comfy couch; A Climax...please accept this as your invitation to a blazing party; The ultimate weapon, or wait till the sun shines, Nellie. A G-VG slightly worn copy.

A VG+ (or better) copy in like D/W showing 18s net to the inside flap (as called for).. This is the very rare variant with the white end-papers that were used by the printers when the green and white patterned end-papers ran out. One of just 3,024 copies of this issue, bound with plain end-papers. Becoming scarce.

1965. (London: The Sunday Times Magazine August 15, 1965). The article was one of the last things that Fleming wrote (the introduction to a book about Jamaica). Superb article (its first publication) in the Sunday Times Colour section with great colour photographs by Richard Steedman evoking the Jamaica that Fleming knew. A VG+ copy. These poorly produced magazines were clearly not meant to be kept for posterity and this one has lasted the test of time remarkably well. A great magazine and quite uncommon these days. Note - this is the original Exhibitors Campaign Book produced to support the 1977 movie of the same name starring Roger Moore, Barbara Bach and Curt Jurgens. A near fine copy (no cuts) folded with a short, closed tear to the top/middle of the front cover . THIS IS NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION. This would have been sent to the cinemas and the media during the release year of the movie. Contains information and images of the licensed merchandising that was produced to tie in with the film; press adverts and posters that were used to promote the film; details of stills and other merchandising campaigns etc.. These original Exhibitor Campaign Books are difficult to find these days.
