NY: The Century Company, 1891. Book. VG. Soft cover. 8vo. 4pp extract, printed in double columns, salvaged from a damaged issue of The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine, Volume XLI, #6, April, 1891. The author, b. 1842, d. 1906, was a well-respected American physician, teacher, scientist, writer, and suffragist. In 1863, she graduated from the New York College of Pharmacy, thus becoming the first woman to graduate from a United States school of pharmacy. She would earn an M.
