Entertaining little book from a prolific British author.

Included is a typed letter signed from George H. Wolfson of the Artists and Writers Guild at Western Printing; it is addressed to Gene Raynall of Harcourt Brace and accompanied six copies of this title, apparently being sent for his approval. Western did the actual printing of the Little Golden Books, of which this is number 140 - A.

Dartnell was a company that trained and educated salesman in all lines of work back in the early 1900s. They had many thousands of salesmen signed up for their magazines and selling guides. This volume is a thinly veiled advice guide to overcoming obstacles while out selling.

Jacket not price clipped, shows wear at spine ends, light soiling. Thomas McCready and Tasha Tudor (at one time a married couple) collaborated on numerous books. Tasha especially was quite a prolific author/illustrator who lived for many years on a Vermont farmstead.
