Iain Banks (The Wasp Factory) started writing science fiction under this name Iain M Banks with this novel, the first in The Culture series.

London, Longmans, 1953. Hardcover First edition in verygood condition, in a very good dust wrapper. The wrapper is very bright and clean but there are tape marks in the inside flaps and endpapers.
The novel is set in the North African desert campaign, where the author served, and is based on his experiences.

Dream/Press collected Richard Matheson's short stories in this beautiful, 899 page hardcover. It was limited to 1250 copies of which 350 preview copies were available at the World Fantasy Convention, 400 were numbered and signed, and 500 copies unnumbered but signed.
This is one of the 500 signed copies.

This was a presentation copy to Jamison Rowe (editor of Electronics Australia) and is signed and inscribed by the author on the front free end paper. Vol Molesworh was influential in Australian science fiction as co-founder of the Sydney Futurians in 1939, fanzine editor and contributor, small press publisher and fan historian. He also wrote crime and science fiction novels.
