"Cherry Street, Macon" written in faded pencil on the left edge of the photograph. Light edge wear to the stiff card. Names of businesses located on the card include J. D. Carver, Groceries; Truman Walker Glassware; Charter Oak Stoves small (reverse) letters above a building on the left margin, and a crockery store. (After researching some of the names located in the photograph no conclusive link to Macon was identified.).

Leather is light faded and chipped at the head of the spine. A total of 32 plant specimens taken from various locations including Windsor, Rome, Battle of Waterloo, Baths of Caracalla, Catacombs of Saint Calixtus, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum, and many other locations dated between 1910 and 1911. Two of the pages with named specimens are missing the plant. Two loose specimens with no identification are laid in between two blank pages. A nice presentation.

Maryland from June 25th, 1911 to August 30th, 1913 and a large photograph album from the same period. The log book measures 8.5" x 7.25" and has maroon leather spine and corners with cloth covered boards. There is a one-inch chip to the upper spine. The foredge has a dark stain not affecting the interior pages. The log consists of 301 lined pages of which 300 were used for daily entries. Pasted down inside the front cover are 3 souvenir illustrations of hotels in Hawaii: Hotel Demosthenes, Holo Hotel, and Kilauea Volcano House. A few loose ephemera items laid inside front cover. In the back of the log book are 2 loose log entries written on 6.5" x 5" note paper for August 29 and 30, 1913 the last dates covered in the diary.
