Lucky for us, since after marrying Maud, they became prolific writers and illustrators of children's books, Illustrating more than 60 for other authors, and 39 of their own. Inscribed to a child on the inside cover, dated "1936." Otherwise, in pristine condition.

Coward-McCann, 1956. HB. Good. Roger Duvoisin. 56-9956 Ms. Hays was a prolific writer of Children's historical fiction. This is a good example of her entertaining account of a historical event, written for the young.

Carlton Press, 1991. HB. Excellent. Ms. Elliott graduated from Peabody College and was an expert in Tennessee History. This story is told from the perspective of a six year old boy growing up in the wilderness of a young frontier town called Nashville. A rare glimpse into a vanishing time period.

This is a wonderful collection of stories and poems designed to be read to children, with the desire to entertain and elevate young readers in today's dumbled down world.

A gently used old copy of a wonderful classic by famed author and artist Howrd Pyle. For those of you familiar with the works of Mr. Pyle, you will appreciate the fact that his writing is such as fine as his artistic ability.
