The Wolf Children by Cay Rademacher, very good +, murder and detective story set in Germany immediately after World War II. In my opinion, the best of the author's three book series. Arcadia books, 2017, never reprinted, becoming very hard to find, scarce. An excellent copy. fresh and clean. No interior writing, underlining, no soiling. Not remaindered.

First printed in UK 1972, this reprint copy 1980. This is the very hard to find cool cover of the German Waffen SS soldier with the machine gun bullet belt draped around his neck. From the back cover, "This is a first hand record of an unregenerate Nazi who escaped the war crimes trials in Europe after World War II and joined the French Foreign Legion. Sent to Indochina to fight the Viet Minh, the German battalion shot, bombed, tortured, and bayonetted the enemy.Toning and light foxing to page edges. Binding tight, no missing or loose pages, a very nice and scarce copy with plenty of good reads left in it.

Simon & Schuster, New York, 1975. Unread, book near pristine with small area of foxing top edge. Dust jacket is unclipped, very small tear line near lower spine. An excellent, fresh copy. Basis for the movie with Diane Keaton. The book to read in the 70's.
