My name is Moe. Several of my animal friends found my life, and their part in it, of interest and urged that I write this autobiography. Because five different animals, all speaking a distinct different language are involved, I believe this prefatory explanation is needed. First, I must admit that I cannot and do not know the languages of all animals but only of those with whom I shared a resort and with whom I had the opportunity to establish a close friendship. These are the American bison (commonly known to man as buffalo), the cow, the dog, the horse and the man. Each of these can understand the language of the others but can speak only their own.
