Tanning of pages and some pencil markings in front and back of book. From Maynard's English Classics Series. Introduction and Notes by W.S. Dalgleish, A.M. Update: Further research on the Maynard, Merrill & Co publisher history indicate they occupied the address at East 10Th Street in NY beginning in 1892, staying most likely through the 1890's. This book appears to be c.1892-3.

A well preserved if often read book.
