Illustrated title page, followed by 45 loose full-page plates, as issued. 1/4 gray cloth over illustrated green paper covered boards. Three beige strings, one at each corner. Work on Art Nouveau (Jugendstil), especially decorative iron works, with some of the most renowned artists of this style represented. Magnificently illustrated with 45 heliotype plates by Fortier et Marotte, most with multiple images. Many of the Art Nouveau architectural masters are prominently represented, including Victor Horta, Paul Hanken, a contemporary and friend of the latter, Paul Saintenoy, Charles Plumet et.al. Horta, considered one of the most important names in Art Nouveau architecture, was described by John Julius Norwich as "undoubtedly the key Art Nouveau architect." Folio. 20 loose leaves (title-page + nineteen plates numbered 2 to 20, some coated and some un-coated), as issued. Original photo-illustrated paper portfolio. Cover photograph mounted on stiff paper portfolio. Book housed in a custom-made green cloth clamshell-box, with title laid on spine. Sasha Stone (1895-1940) belonged to the circle around the constructivist periodical "G", which included Moholy-Nagy, Mies van der Rohe, El Lissitzky and Walter Benjamin. He created the photomontage for the dust-jacket of Benjamin's famous book "Einbahnstraße" (One-Way Street).
