Description:
New York: Oxford University Press, 1941. First edition. Hardcover cloth. Very Good. Translated by Olaf Helmer. This classic undergraduate treatment by one of the four "greatest logicians of all time" [Vaught] examines the deductive method in its first part and explores applications of logic and methodology in constructing mathematical theories in its second part. Exercises appear throughout. A very slight staining on the front cover prevents the book from being like new.
