Henry Fonda (1905 â€" 1982) was a major American actor, whose career spanned five decades on Broadway and in Hollywood He cultivated an everyman screen image in several films considered to be classics, including The Grapes of Wrath, Mister Roberts, 12 Angry Men and On Golden Pond This copy is near fine in black cloth with silver titles on the spine and Fonda's facsimile signature on the front cover It has very slight bumping at the spine ends There is a maple leaf ink stamp on the fore edge, apparently because this copy was sold in Canada The unclipped DJ has slight edge wear No other marks or damage Inscribed by Henry Fonda on the half title page Since he died the year after publication, copies of this book signed or inscribed by Fonda are quite scarce 372 pp.

London: Edward Bell, 1833. Apparent 1st. Hardcover. Poor. All volumes appear to be in publisher's original publisher's gray paper covered boards with titles on paper labels on the spines. Spines mostly worn away and boards show moderate soiling and scuffing. On the reverse of the half title page of Vol. 1, is a printed statement indicating that the volumes were published for the Edward Bull circulating library, although there are no other indications of library ownership, and the text in all the volumes does not appear to have had much, if any, use. Interestingly, the title is not listed among the Edward Bull published works.
