[Cambridge, Massachusetts]: Harvard University, 1965. First Edition, First Printing. Small Quarto (10 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches; 260 x 190 mm), [22] unnumbered pages, in side-stapled illustrated wrappers. Catalogue of an exhibition of Indian painting that ran from March 10 to April 20, 1965, at Harvard, featuring works from the collections of Mrs. John F. Kennedy, John Kenneth Galbraith, Stuart Cary Welch, and the Fogg Art Museum. (The economist John Kenneth Galbraith had been President Kennedy's ambassador to India. Stuart Cary Welch was a Harvard scholar and a collector of Indian art.) Black-and-white illustrations of 10 works, as well as a tipped-in color illustration of a painting owned by Galbraith. Introduction by Milo Cleveland Beach, Galbraith, and Welch. UNCOMMON. CONDITION: General handling wear, foxing to some pages, previous owner's light pencil notations on first blank. A Very Good copy.

This volume is a history of the National Institute of Arts & Letters and the American Academy of Arts & Letters. Heavily illustrated with black-and-white photos. Issued without a dust jacket.
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Small Quarto 10 1/4 x7 1/8 inches; 260 x 180 mm), xii, [4] 346 pages, in red cloth, gilt titles to upper board and spine. No dust jacket was issued.
CONDITION: Front hinge a bit loose but holding. Some minor rubbing to the boards, small stain to upper board's right edge, small scrape to the lower board's list of contributors, not affecting any text. Internally clean and unmarked. Very Good or better.
