Inside dust jacket slightly tanned. Now in removeable clear protective sleeve. Boards bumped at corners and edges. A couple of marks to top textblock edge, otherwise book very good, clean and tight.

Externally bumped and scuffed at some edges and corners. Scattered foxing mostly to first few and last few pages. Majority of text pages clean and clear. Good+ tight copy for its age. Blue cloth boards with gilt and black illustration to front and spine. All edges gilt. Corners and edges of boards bumped and scuffed, some fraying to top and bottom of spine. Spine faded and gilt a little rubbed and dulled. A little grubby to rear with some marks. Closed tears to front and rear pastedown partially revealing webbing. "W.H. Smith, Strand, London" embossed stamp to FFEP. Neat ink name to reverse FFEP which has partially blotted on to reverse frontis. Black and white frontis with tissue guard, both with spots of foxing. Textblock has cracked at hinge between frontis and title page revealing webbing. Faint scattered foxing throughout and the occasional page crease, otherwise contents very good, clean and tight. Size: 5.5 x 7.5 Inches
