Assume First Edition, 1st printing; copyright page states c. 1942 w/ no mention of subsequent printings; dates 1792- 1942 on title page. DJ VG- glossy & bright w/ only light rubbing, bit of soil on back, light edge wear (incl couple minor closed tears, NO chips)- displays very well. Red cloth binding is excellent- bright, clean & square. NO bumps, frays, rubs, sun, soil etc. Black oval vignette of mountain on front & all spine lettering crisp & intact. Separate cover (same size, light vert. creasing to spine) holding color fold-out plates of all 5 windows. Also 8"" x 6"", 10 page pamphlet in English: ""Chagall's Windows in the Fraumunster"" w/ packet of 4 b/w plates w/ details of 2 of the windows (this packet may be incomplete). ALL in 10"" X 10"" color photo slipcase - slipcase top is cracked completely along 1 seam, but still attached to rest of case. All other components clean & bright, show only v. light use; bit of rubbing & edge wear (consistent w/ slipcased items). A handsome set.

Pamphlet NOT dated, but cars have oval windows & 1 shows semaphore turn signal- placing publication date from 1953- 1955. Cover shows green VW superposed over VW factory. Binding clean, tight & bright w/ trace of v. light age spotting. Interior in similar condition; except some ink notations of price for each style & light pencil computations (all neatly done) of total cost (incl. $60 optional radio & $225 credit for trade-in of a Nash).
