This is an unusually scarce issue of the story that captivated many loyal readers long ago. One of the prettier efforts of this oft-issued book, with considerable effort going into cover presentation, a largely lost art.And, strangely, Madame Madeleine Lemaire listed on title page as illustrator, but there is no evidence of illustrations in the text. Maybe she did the front cover decal. But, in any case, somebody goofed.Photos on request.

This whimsical book is in very nice shape, the jacket...not so good.  But at least it is readably present, a rarity for 1945 thin-paper issues such as this.

This is a complete first edition copy of the wonderful AESOP done by the renowned Milo Winter in 1919.  Scarce in any condition, this one has numerous, somewhat skillful clear tape repairs, thankfully confined mostly to the page margins, with the actual artwork uneffected.  Price reflects condition, still a great children's book!

This is a much worn but complete copy of Rogers' take on American history.   This copy iis unusual because Joel Rogers published in 1961 under his name, thereafter Helen Rogers handled the publishing.  Much worn, but complete, tightly bound, and collectibly rare at this price.

This is a nice, clean copy of the prison insider expose, very much in the tenor of the early fifties noir atmosphere.

This is a very good copy of an obscure Jack Woodford's novel, written, as so frequently the case in later Woodfords, in collaboration with a newly fledged writer.  This one features the usual racy jacket, but relatively uncommon in hardback.  Teaser novels like this are somewhat rare because their presentation limeted them to a sort of under-the-counter distribution.  COLLECTIBLE.

Includes Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, The Hunting of the Snark, Phantasmagoria, and Puzzles from Wonderland. Ninety-two illustrations by Sir John Tenniel. A very good, lightly used copy.

Though this is a much damp-stained copy, missing the Kent decorated jacket, it remains a FIRST EDITION, Richard Aldington novel, lightly illustrated by the one and only Rockwell Kent.  The condition of this scarce copy is reflected in its negligible cost, by comparison with other listings.

This is a very good copy of an amazing record of what everybody did, who they married and had kids with, and all such what-not about almost everyone who ever went to UNC up until 1924, so you can check on what your offensive suitemates are up to now that you've all turned 120 or so.  Genealogists will fight you for this book, tough.

This is a nice copy of La Farge's instructive study of North American Indian cultures across the continent.

This is a fair copy, stressed but complete, of the wonderful 1846 treatise on memorization method as well as a compendium of world history dates and the events of ordinary life.  Miles' point was to develop memory for greater mastery of life, and, hey, ain't nothin' wrong with that.
There is some association value here, as this was a 1846 gift from noted tar heel UNC freshman W.B. Hardy to noted UNC senior Rufus E. S. Tucker at the University of North Carolina.  Both became Civil War officers and 19th century public figures.
Price reflects both rarity and condition.
