Signed & dated (but not signed to anyone) in year of publication. Laid in are two color card-stock glossy promos from the publisher, one for this particular book & one for other titles. A superior, fine, as new copy scarce signed & especially with the laid in material. A great addition to any serious collector of children's illustrated books.

Maps: Historic Sites in Taylor County, Texas Frontier Forts (and) Trails. Tiny bump to front cover corner. Near fine in chipped dj with closed tears (including 2" on front panel). Rather scarce in the 1st edit.

NY: Brazoria County Abstract Company, 1968. Revised Edition. Soft cover. Very Good. 1st printing thus of mass market paperback revised edition. Pictorial wraps. 265pp. A few illustrations. Maps. Index. Bibliography. Appendices. Gift inscriptions inside front cover. A Bigfoot, Yeti, and sasquatch classic. Bit of wear to extremities. VG. Somewhat common in mass market, but this a much better than average copy.

NY: Award Books, 1969. First Edition. Soft cover. Poor. 1st printing. Pictorial mass market paperback. 153pp. This is a non-fiction work compiling various research and reports from around the world, including the Yeti in the Himalayas, behind the Iron Curtain, Asia, below the equator, and the North American sasquatch, especially in Canada & California. An overlooked little item with much early information, published only three years after Roger Patterson's much sought book. This is a poor copy. The binding is tight & there is no trouble using this as a reading copy, but it is stained, the lower front cover corner is worn back a little, and the upper back front corner is chipped back a little.

Washington DC: Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 1981. Soft cover. Fine. Three fine engravings on cream card stock in original envelopes. Abraham Lincoln 9" x 12", White House & Lincoln Memorial 6" x 8". I purchased these in Washington D. C. in 1982 as souvenirs. They are "unused" and have been kept in their original envelopes. Fine.

Previous volumes were compiled short issues by subscription. This was to be the last volume. Near fine, probably no dj issued.

Armitage, among other professional callings, was a fine book designer, and examples of his work are found liberally throughout the Western Americana field. Fine in dj.

Surprisingly uncommon in the 1st edition & in this condition. 6-guns 1024, Herd 1062.

Separate string-tied 8vo. 24pp + 2pp. There is a non-authorial presentation on the title page (which is the facing page), "J ?) W. Proctor Esq from his ?? Williams." In the same hand is a written comment on the last printed page, "We have 700 members at 5 $ =" Russell's dates: 1771-1832. The first 16pps summarize animal husbandry in history, starting with the Hebrews & Greeks. The second part is "Cattle Show and Exhibition of Manufactures" with prize winners & amounts for animals & domestic material like woollens, sole-leather, cheese, & even "To Silas Allen, jun. of Shrewsbury, for a brace of pistols, of the Rifle kind, of very excellent workmanship." This Worcester County is in Mass. Fore edge torn/chipped/rough in spots. Still a good copy with flexible pages. Rare, with only two copies showing in world libraries, one of which is in the British Library.

S. F.: Francis Valentine & Co, 1879. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Fair. Original publication. Printed wraps. 23pp. (sewn; title page detached). Former owner's description: "... addressed the injustice of the railway system, focusing on the need to have them contribute their fair share to locally used taxes, and to give reasonable paymen to farmers." A piece 3/8" x 2 3/4" cut from top of cover page, which as noted is detached. Stain lower 2/3 of last leaf, but all on unprinted section. Small dark rectangle lower front cover near spine. Very scarce.

Watertown: Santway Photo-Craft Co, 1921. Soft cover. Good+. 1st printing (circa 1921 according to WorldCat). Oblong pictorial & stapled wraps, 6" x 9/1/2". (60pp). Title page attractively & rustically designed. One page introduction followed by very nice sepia toned photos. Two maps, one of eastern U. S. & the other, "Automobile Road Map Northern New York..." There are some residue spots stuck to the back cover (a long time ago most likely). Else good+ or vg. This title is quite scarce. WorldCat locates only two copies.

La Jolla: Prospect Avenue Press, 1969. First Edition. Hardcover. Collectible Near Fine/Very Good. 1st printing. Gilt-stamped cloth. 113pp. Illus. Presentation inscription on ffep signed and dated by Jeffrey in 1973. Near fine copy, but we note the minor distraction of browning along the gutter of the free endpapers and facing pps as two leaves on both ends were apparently glued along the gutter. This will not be a problem for most collectors, and perhaps the publisher did this with every copy. The vg dj has small chips along the top edge.
