In red cloth, corners lightly bumped, a little worn at head, blind tooling to edges, with a circular blind stamp to upper cover. Spine has titles in gilt, edges a little bumped, lib ref nos at base. Harker whose major theoretical suggestion was that the general character of different regions of igneous rocks might be related to the tectonic environment-the conditions of temperature and pressure under which the rocks were formed. Following the studies at Shap, Harker showed that the rocks surrounding the Shap granite had been reconstituted without significant changes in bulk composition. See ODNB.

Dafydd is remarkable in his age for the large number of poems which he wrote about nature and about love. Title continues: with notes, descriptive and explanatory; particulars of the Druids, founders of some of the fifteen tribes of North Wales, the families descended from them, and quotations from the bards. With an appendix: containing an account of the battle of Beaumaris in 1648, and the taking of the castle. Llwyd came to be considered an authority on Welsh heraldry and genealogy' (DWB), and as a result was received into many aristocratic households. ODNB.
