Description:
Short Hills NJ: Ridley Enslow, 1978. First edition thus. Hardcover. Fine/fine. First hardcover edition, preceded by the Ace paperback. This appears to be an early effort of what became the Enslow Publishing Company, which does books for grades K-12. Under the name of Ridley Enslow Publishing, they seem to have done just a handful of books in 1977-78, of which this may be the only work of fiction (and is very likely their only book of science fiction). This is a fine copy, in an unclipped (and unpriced) dustjacket -- tight and clean. It's not a common book, and the reason these people published it seems to appear on the jacket flap: the American Library Association proclaimed it one of the top 24 books for young adults published in 1977. Enslow apparently decided that it deserved to have a hardcover, and put money where his thoughts went. tw - no idea whence

First edition, first printing of "The Climax of the Dune Trilogy." Well, in these days when trilogies can have dozens of books in them, I suppose that might be true. The last Dune book which can be characterized as uncommon, as later ones had much larger printings. A reasonable copy, solid in an edge-worn and rubbed but unclipped jacketa reasonable copy to put on your shelf. With the new film version about to come out, interest in early Dune books is currently rising. See pictures for a better sense of condition. Feel free to ask further questions.

Description:
London: Jonathan Cape, 1969. First UK edition. Hardcover. Fine/very fine. An odd collection of tales about the creation of the universe and of human beings. Quirky fun. Calvino is one of the European Magic Realists who are generally treated as "too good to be science fiction". Ah well. This is a very nice copy, with the only notable flaw being a discreet previous owner's name and date/place of purchase on the front free endpaper. Top edge stained blue, jacket slightly sunfaded on spine (unclipped). A clean, nice copy of a modern classic. TW from WFW

Description:
Garden City: Doubleday, 1969. First edition. Hardcover. Good/very good. Ex-library copy of Zelazny's scarce second hardcover original (after the stunning LORD OF LIGHT). Front free endpaper removed, jacket not examined out of the plastic cover (but the tape holding the covered jacket to the book does touch small triangles on the jacket flaps and appears to have discolored the jacket -- the jacket is unclipped and unfaded, slightly rubbed with a label with the letter S on the spine). Slight tape stains on the rear free endpaper as well. The blank first sheet is stamped with the removal notice and the top edge is stamped "King County Library". Aside from the noted flaws, this is a pretty clean copy. The flaws are admittedly major. TW
