With originally 100 plates (4 colored) and 6 original woodcuts (The title and four intertitles in blue, and a black and white woodcut on p. 10). This copy is missing the original plate No. 9, it is included in copy. The text booklet with 58 pp. and 27 text illustrations. Blue half cloth. The cassette binding is rubbed, faded and broken (please see illustrations) and should be restored. The plates loose in cassette. Dritter Band der seltenen ersten deutschen Gesamtausgabe von Paracelsus Schriften, maßgeblich für alle späteren Ausgaben. Herausgegeben von Johann Huser, mit Unterstützung des Kurfürsten und Kölner Erzbischofs Ernst Prinz von Bayern.
Mit 2 ganzseitigen Porträt-Holzschnitten (wdh.), die Paracelsus 1540 nach einem Kupferstich von Augustin Hirschvogel zeigen, 1 Wappenholzschnitt (Das Paracelsus-Wappen und als Wappenspruch die Grabinschrift PAX VIVIS REQVIES AETERNA SEPVLTIS) und 1 Holzschnitt-Druckermarke am Ende. Basel, Conrad Waldkirch 1589. Schweinslederband d. Zt., 24 x 17 cm, 5 Bl.; 420 S., 55 Bll. Register. Ecken etwas beschabt, durchgehend gebräunt (vgl. die Fotos). Insgesamt gutes Exemplar der geschätzten ersten Huser'schen Ausgabe.
