Edges at head and tail of board spine are crimped but not fraying. No rub-through on board edges. Side and lower page edges are age-toned. Shadow transfers and faint foxing on end-papers. Text pages are age-toned, else clean, no marks, tears or foxing. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is soiled overall, more noticeable on the white backgrounds of the spine and back jacket panel. Extremities are sunned, more so on the upper edges. All folds are creased and scuffed but not rubbed through except at the fore-edge corners. First edition. Very good plus book in very good minus dust jacket. Signed by the author on the title page. Goldenrod colored paper covered boards, brown cloth on spine with gilt lettering. Boards are clean. Light fading at head and tail of board spine and adjacent edges. Several very small, shallow bumps along lower edge of front board panel. Light age-toning to external pages. Internally clean and with snug text block. Dust jacket has shelf-wear scuffs overall. White background of back jacket panel is slightly yellowed. Spine and fore-edge folds are creased and a bit scuffed but not rubbed through. Upper and lower edges at head and tail of jacket spine are rubbed and chipped. Head of spine has a 3/16" closed vertical tear on the back corner and a 1/16" closed vertical tear in the center; tail of spine has small chips and closed vertical tears of 1/16" on the corners.
