Very Good plus original Condition. 432pp. Brown full calf leather boards, Bumping and minor wear to corners and edges, marbled text block, marbled endpapers, spine with 4 raised bands, bright gold spine title on black morocco label fully intact. Binding tight, pages clean, crisp with minor tanning. Very minor foxing to first three pages otherwise work is completely unmarked. (see Photos). Illustrated with 40 B/W engravings. Translated and compiled from the Masonic histories of Emmanuel Rebold, past Deputy of the Grand Orient of France, President of the Academy of Industrial Sciences, and a member of many philosophic and scientific societies. Because of the restoration the first endpaper where Brother Skilton had signed had to be removed and now it is just inserted in the work. Dark Blue (almost black) cloth and leatherette embossed boards, title and gold Embossed Knight Templar on a horse to front board, title to spine. Binding is as new, pages crisp with minor tanning and foxing. Numerous excellent Illustrations. (See Photos) "A Narrative as told by a Knight Templar and Recorded by a Noble of The Mystic Shrine" told in an epic poem, there is also a clipping of a review of the work by the then mayor of Philadelphia W. This work is in Fine condition and the dust jacket is in very good condition (not in protective jacket cover). Dark blue cloth boards with bright gold gilt square & compass on bottom right corner and looks as new. Bright Gold gilt title to spine, binding is as new and the pages are crisp, clean and white with absolutely no markings throughout the work. The dust jacket has a few nicks at the edges and the spine is slightly tanned, This is part of a set of eleven similar looking but totally stand alone works of which I have five, they are very hard to impossible to find. Masonry a world-wide fraternity of millions of picked men closely bound together, has grown to be such a factor in public life that an increasing number are asking.
