Boston: Wright & Potter, State Printers, 1867. First Edition. Softcover. Fair. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. The author was then Pastor of the Harvard Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Chipped and damp-stained brick-red paper wraps, dissipating in both directions. A standard election sermon delivered in 1867. The author, Henry White Warren (1831–1912), was an American Methodist Episcopal bishop and also the brother of William Fairfield Warren. Henry White Warren was born at Williamsburg, Massachusetts on January 4, 1831, graduated from Wesleyan University and then taught ancient languages at Wilbraham Wesleyan Academy before entering the New England Conference (1855). Both he and his wife died in 1867 the very year he delivered this sermon. [7], 8-50 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
