Stanley Nott. First edition published by Stanley Nott in 1935. This is a very good or better copy. The orange dust wrapper with black lettering is complete with only minor wear along the edges. There is light and sporadic foxing that becomes moderate to 3 or 4 pages. Overall a very good or better copy. A book Ezra Pound struggled to get published due to its fascist overtones. A controversial book, Pound's views would continue to be aired, in particular with radio broadcasts, and it would culminate with his imprisonment by the US Army in 1945. A scarce book to find with the dust wrapper and most…

With no previous owner's marks and no foxing or browning marks. Tucked into the front is the publishers review slip. Overall a near fine copy and scarce with these attributes. Journey to a War is a travel book in prose and verse. The book is in three parts: a series of poems by Auden describing his and Isherwood's journey to China in 1938 ; a "Travel-Diary" by Isherwood (including material first drafted by Auden) about their travels in China itself, and their observations of the Sino-Japanese War; and "In…
