Braselton, Georgia, 1985-1986. About 165 color snapshot photographs (each approximately 5" x 3 1/2") tipped onto rectos and versos of 45 white paper leaves. Leaves with computer printed borders for print placement along with type descriptions. Contents removed from a defective, original plain binder, placed into an archival, dust proof model by us. Overall about near fine. An album of snapshot photography capturing the 1985 and 1986 World of Outlaws circuit's winged sprint car races run over the 3/8 paved oval on the grounds of the Road Atlanta Raceway in Braselton, Georgia, a motorsports complex about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta. Photographed and laid out by amateur Georgia racing historian and photographer, Joe Cawley, the images are uncommonly clear and well executed with the layout almost certainly done on a period PC. Edinburgh: Archibald Constable and Co., 1823. 8 1/2" x 5 1/4." 472pp. plus six plates and two folded maps. Marbled paper over boards, decorated leather with title over spine. Boards present, but both detached. Generous page spotting. Larger folding map with a closed tear. Overall fair only. A rough copy of an important arctic exploration work. Appears to be lacking an original half-title page, though all engraved plates and maps are present. Shown extensively here.
