Biggers wrote six Charlie Chan books between 1925 and 1932; this was the last in his series of detective novels of a fictional Honolulu police dectective name Charlie Chan. Nearly fifty movies were made based on his character. This is a first edition in the publisher's original black cloth covers with orange spine and cover lettering. Decorated end papers of an airplane in flight on a moonlit night--there is a short split toward the top of the front inner hinge. There is light wear to the covers, especially at top of spine; the spine also has vertical creasing. This copy has been read is slightly loose.
