Collection of separately paginated dramatic works issued as Vol. 24 of Bell's British Theatre,, each play with its own title page; 12mo, in contemporary eighteenth century full calf (rubbed and worn with loss to extremities, old bookselllers ticket to front pastedown). Good copy of these early play texts.

Third edition, octavo; vi, 254, [iv]pp. In attractive full contemporary calf over five raised spine bands between gilt double fillets, gilt lettered spine label to second compartment (chipped with loss), gilt fleur-de-lis in remaining compartments, sporadic unobtrusive spots and stains, pencillings to rear pastedown and early engraved ownership label to front pastedown ('Capt. Campbell Kilberry'), a pleasant clean copy of this popular work printed the same year as the first edition. ESTC T200452 citing 2xUK and 3xUS locations.

Good. 12mo; [2], 62, 61-140pp. In original eighteenth century full calf (somewhat worn with loss of leather to spine ends and board corners, upper board detached), five raised spine bands, twentieth century ownership label and remains of older labels to front pastedown, occasional unobtrusive spots and stains but overall a clean complete copy. ESTC T14749, bringing together Sterne's History of a Watch Coat with various letters of whch some are spurious, probably the work of William Combe. A pencil note of the front free endpaper suggests this is the first Dublin edition.

First edition, large octavo; xii,468 pp. From the library of King's College Cambridge with engraved library label to reverse of half-title, removed label from front pastedown, King's College Library cancel stamps to front pastedown and reverse of half title, and neat unobtrusive classmarks on spine. Later ownership name (N.A.Birtwhistle) to front blank. In contemporary half leather over brown buckram cloth boards (a little worn), five raised gilt-tooled spine bands, spine labels missing from second and third compartments, gilt date at foot of spine. A very good copy.
