Broadside. 33 x 22 cm.
In the form of a prayer poem in two columns and with 9 stanzas, it is an incitement for the Potosinos to take up arms and join the war against the United States. Very Rare broadside in the form of a prayer, criticizing the political situation and Mexican society before the entry of Americans into Mexican territory, and the terrible agreements adopted. Possibly in response to the Manifesto and Plan of San Luis Potosi from December 14, 1845.
The title "Que recobres tejas o hables claro" ("Will you recover Texas or speak clearly?"), is attributed to Antonio López de Santa Anna, who, according to legend, made this statement to the Texan delegation during negotiations following the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. It was used to express skepticism or disbelief regarding someone's intentions or ability to achieve a particular goal.
