Despite the title change, this is Letter One" of Cleland's "Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure." Stated as an edition of 35 copied privately printed on handmade paper, this copy is not numbered. Included are a half-dozen full-page illustrations by Edouard-Henri Avril tinted in a pinkish red and a couple of small illustrations that are duplicated in b&w and the tinted version.

The Merrimack was the last of the series produced by Rinehart before the series was continued by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston. This copy is a bit shelf worn, but otherwise in very good condition.
