Description:
London: J. M. Dent & Sons, 1912. Hardcover. pp. xvi, 255.,12mo,,Bound in original beige/grey cloth with coloured top edge,Not a particularly uncommon title in the series, but seldom seen in the publisher's original printed dust jacket (which was not made to last). The jacket is worn, with noticeable rubbing to the folds, and a significant loss to the spine. However, the front panels and folds are intact and overall it is still in serviceable condition. The spine of the book is fully embellished in gilt. The binding shows little wear and almost no soiling, and the book appears never to have been read. A very good copy. A title in The Everyman's Library series, with an Introduction by Bertram C. Windle.

Description:
Calgary, AB: Farm and Ranch Review, 1942. 1st edition. wrappers. pp. 79. 8vo. Card covers scuffed & sl. 'thumbed'; else in vg condition,This is a unique copy, as it is inscribed and signed by the author: 'With Author's compliments' (signature) 'Charles Peterson'. It is also signed on the top of the front cover 'S. S. Garson'. Stuart S. Garson (1898-1977) was premier of Manitoba from 1943 to 1948. This copy neatly annotated in red ink on about ten pages. It appears that this copy may be ex-library (whether institutional, or personal, is unclear) as the smudge to the front cover, and the smudges to the title page and inside rear cover, appear to be attempts to remove small rubber stamps. See Peel (2nd) 6523.
