Full of delightful coloured chromlithographed illustrations including full page coloured half title, frontis and title page 64pp in all. In the original printed coloured boards.The boards are in reasonable condition but as might be expected a bit rubbed and worn at edges. The binding has been strengthened by a new cloth spine. John, Jervis, Admiral of the Fleet, 1st Earl of St Vincent GCB, PC (9 January 1735 - 14 March 1823) was an admiral in the Royal Navy and Member of Parliament. Bound in the original brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and top board. 149pp. illustrated throughout with steel engravings in text. The front endpapers are curious pages of illustrated ads advertising all sorts of lanterns and other photography equipment, the same to the rear which has several pages of illustrated ads. A little rubbing and bumping of the cloth; some wear to top and bottom of the spine. Some light browning/age-toning to endpapers but, internally, the pages are generally bright and clean.
