At head of title: Midget folio .The miniature book is embedded in the hollowed out blank leaves at the end of the enlarged edition. The larger book has 94 printed pages- some very occasional spotting, four blank leaves with contemporaneous newspaper cuttings pasted in (Mark Twain with the Typothetae, c. 1886), followed by 2 pages of publisher's adverts. 12 x 15 cm, original vellum, lacking ties; on the upper cover, below the gilt titling is the helpful advice "In unlocking this Forme see that the QUADS do not drop out" (priced "7/6"). The miniature book is 27 x 40 mm. Original gilt titled vellum (priced "2/6")with long silk ties (all but one intact). Quads are small metal blanks used by printers to fill up any gaps. This is an especially attractive copy, beautifully bound about 1920 by Eric Wilfred Dickens, bookbinder, (born 24/9/1888) of 46 Mordaunt St. Stockwell, London. The spine has a leather label and five raised bands & is densely tooled in gilt.
