Queering the BibliObject, organized by John Chaich, independent curator, was an exhibition that focused on contemporary lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer artists appropriating the book as an object through sculpture, installation, drawing, or photography as a vehicle for self-expression. These artists utilize the book as an action for 'queer' manifestation and materialization, both by violating heteronormative customs and by being "unusual' in itself. Illustrated throughout.
