First American hardback edition (there are at least two binding variants (no priority known), and this is the version with a mottled teal spine), a Fine- copy with slight bend at head and heel in a Fine- dust jacket, with 1/16" closed tear on front cover near spine with small associated crease, and traces of wear at head, heel and points. Egan's first novel, one of quantum ontology in which the rest of the universe have blocked off our solar system because humans are the only beings in the known universe who collapse quantum wave function. The sort of novel that makes your brain hurt in all the right ways.

Inscribed by Kurtz: "To Beau-Katherine Kurtz." I've never seen Kurtz at an SF convention.
